Egg carton - Jewelry Boxes

I recycled egg cartons and turned them into jewelry boxes.  First I painted the cartons in different vibrant colors.  Then I covered and decorated the top with pattern paper and handmade flowers. Finally added shinny heart stickers and Voila'! I had beautiful jewelry boxes at almost no cost!  They make wonderful gifts for friends as well.

I sent this project pictures as an entry for DIY section in The Times of India and Yeepee!!! my project was selected ..

Birthday Girl

I made a Birthday card for a friend ..colored the girl with some pencil colors and markers but I forgot to take picture after adding the sentiment.

I made this card with little birdie on it that says thank you.. 

I used eraser and rubbed the corners of the pattern paper which gives it a little faded look .. these flowers are handmade.. and bird image I printed directly on the pattern paper..

I had loads of fun creating this image again using pspaint ..it's like online journal ! 

I figured there are lots of benefits of making journal page on computer, obviously I could express my feelings as it's an art journal page and I could use it as a desktop wallpaper and I didn't waste any paint !

Wall Hanging - Real Happiness

 I'm so excited to share the wall hanging that I completed today.  Actually, in this rainy season I wanted to make something bright and yellow.

All flowers are handmade.. 

 I did paint the edges with white acrylic paint, stamped some dots in black color then layered pattern paper..

The white cardboard frame is handmade too..

Added some laces and project is complete!

Make a Wish

This is make a wish birthday card, I reused the paper pack packaging to make these banners. Added a sticker on top of the banners and sentiment below is handwritten.

Awesome Elephant

Elephants are so huge yet they are so cute and they look awesome on cards.  I made two elephant cards, simply to appreciate some awesome people

I have printed the elephant image directly onto pattern paper and fussy cut it.

Thank You Card

I made a card to say thanks to Dr. Sonia.. she is a wonderful person helped me out so much with my nonsense queries/worries :) regarding my health and I bothered her so much ;) 

I tried couple of techniques that I learned recently .. tore paper, distressed edges, done layering, tea dye, tissue paper background and the texture on black cardstock was so much fun I scratched the card then painted with white color to give it whitewashed look ..

Vanity Box

I love making projects and this time a made a Vanity Box by recycling and old cardboard box and adding a handle made of cardboard 

The shimmer of pearl paint (mixed with acrylic paint) shows on the handle and inside gives it a nice touch..    

Flowers are handmade in 2 different shades of purple color .. 

I love the funky colors on this paper ..

Last V'day card

I'm so late in uploading the cards :D I know, but some of you tell me anytime is good for valentine so I got the mood to upload this card and I promise this is the last valentine day card made for the last valentine day ..

I wanted to make it look like this guy is standing on cloud or something but that didn't come exactly .. but it's alright at least he is not floating.

Women's Day Card

On women's day I made card for a friend and for this occasion I used strong colors like red and black.. I know usually I can't get over with pinks and whites but this was good for a change ..  

I love the heart shape, it turned out exactly how I wanted it representing a strong heart full of love and blossom and that big red flower is from itsy bitsy ..  hope this card looks apt for the purpose.

Late Valentine Cupid

I know it is very late (almost like a valencrime) for me to add cupid card now cause valentine is long gone .. but I was working on this card then instead of cupid's arrow I was struck with 'no crafting mood' syndrome :) so this card was left like that.. 

When I felt little better first thing I did is complete it with a vine and some flowers ..

I was trying to match it with bunch in the image ..  

Hope it looks better now .

Altered Keychains & an Unfortunate News

I had some ugly Keychains so, I decided to alter them and make them look pretty .. 

The white sponge flower is excellent to use on Keychains, no matter how much it gets squashed in the purse it always comes out great in it's former shape.

Well the unfortunate news is that not eating non-veg food has caused me severe health problems .. and my bestie planned a surprise for me, for those who follow catchy crafts would know that I was announced one of the DT member.  Believe me I was surprised too !! but she wasn't aware that I'm not doing good healthwise and undergoing a worse treatment ...So, the news that was suppose to be a happy event & a sweet gesture turned out to be an unfortunate one :(  ... but she is a sweet gal she wouldn't want me to be sitting in hospital making cards (when I should be the one getting 'Get Well Soon' cards) ..  eventually you won't get to see me as DT but I will be there to cheer up everyone participating .. 

Altered Bottle

I altered bottle this bottle, filled it with some dried flowers  and tried to make it more fancy with all the ribbons and flowers .. 

The doll image is actually vintage that I cut out from an old book  ..
