I altered bottle this bottle, filled it with some dried flowers  and tried to make it more fancy with all the ribbons and flowers .. 

The doll image is actually vintage that I cut out from an old book  ..

Happy Republic Day

Happy Republic Day to all .. 

Catchy Craft challenge is to make a patriotic and I made this card ... I used corrugated card to make the flag then colored it in tricolors .. 

then I made this one .. which represent happy, peaceful and prosperous India..

To make the flag I punched then curled some flowers in two different shades of orange then I stuck them on to the orange strip. Similarly for the green portion I pasted leaves.

2013 Easel Album

The theme for Hands 2 Heart Jan Challenge is "A New Beginning" so I have made a special Easel Album cum Desktop Calender.  Not only it would capture the new year's memories but also it display the calender.

Now the fun part, I turn it inside out and set it up for the display .. like so ..

There are 6 pages and each page has a pocket and a tag inside..

I plan on capturing 2013 by adding my list of my resolutions, monthly horoscope, journal month review and a lot of pictures as the year progresses and events take place.

Winter Wonderland

I live in a place where weather doesn't get very cold ... which means nice lovely weather all year round .. but I still miss Delhi's winter and Shimla's Snowfall :(  so, I created my own little winter wonderland :)

Thanks Vintage Style

I have made this vintage looking card to say thanks to Deepti from Catchy Crafts for sending me the candy and .... she also sent me a tag and a cute cupcake card for get well soon wishes (so sweet of you Deepti) !

Beige and Brown are prime colors in this card also there is White to highlight some parts.  I enjoyed making this card so much.  I have done lots of tearing and fraying also curled the top right corner of the page. 

   

The lady in the image is so beautiful and I printed this image from Google.  Another technique that I have done here is tea dying. The ribbon, paper lace and fabric for the flower, they all were white and they look so lovely afterwards.    

My favorite part I have recycled the paper from real estate pamphlet/Booklet and I think the paper is real pretty.

Happy Christmas

This is a Christmas card that I have made.. in bright Christmas colors.. 

The bear image a from 'from me to you' die cut pack.'  I stamped the lace border and threaded the ribbon through and added some punched snowflakes as if the bear is looking at snowfall. 

I resisted the urge to add flowers and more stuff and kept it simple as there are so many snowflakes and flowers in the background.

Altered Jar

I have altered another jar ... and this time I tried painting it!

Painted the jar green from outside and pink from inside. I tried to follow the pattern on ribbon and added white dots.

Carousel

Hey guys, I did a guest post at my friend Zografia's blog " made by Bisozozo ".  She is a wonderful person and you must check out her blog she makes very Stylish stuff from jewelry to lamp or anything!

I'm excited to share this post both because I did some recycling and I made something useful!  We have all seen Carousels, they are so fascinating, shiny and fun to ride but this not just a Carousel it is also a Jewelry storage system.

First I decided how I wanted to construct the cardboard Carousel shape then I incorporated jewelry storage ideas into it.

At the bottom it has a round box to store jewelry ..It has flowers on one side and butterflies on the other..

Then the top part can also be removed, I made it in a way so that I can keep my Bangals here.  As the unicorns are attached to the top part of the Carousel, bangals can be easily added or taken out without any hassle

So here are the construction details: 

Bottom part - first I created a round box and it's lid  

Middle part - Take a cylinder shape (I recycled one from foil paper packaging) make a 1 inch slit on it. Bend the sides and glue them on the lid of the box so as to attach the cylinder and the lid together. 

To cover it and secure the cylinder shape in place I glued a cardboard circle , with a hole in the middle to slide through the cylinder, on top of the lid.

Top part - I cut out a hexagon shape from cardboard, glued 6 ribbons on it and on top of it I glued a cone with a bead on it. This time again  I kept a hole in the hexagon shape to fix the cylinder  there and then I started decorating it ... 

I had an amazing time designing, creating and decorating this project and I hope you enjoyed viewing it !!!

Scary House

This is a Halloween card with a scary house (Bhoot Bangla types) that is full of creatures and monsters, some of them are peeping through the window and a ghost is coming out of the door. 

I have painted the creatures with black acrylic paint, dabbed some paint on to the house with a sponge.

I have made this digital LO using daisy trail and it's about street buffalo that I encountered yesterday.   Buffalo's are so cute they block the road and they don't know where to go :-)

Stack of Books

I have made Stack of books that has secret drawers and here's the video tutorial by Annie.

I have recycled packaging cardboard and sheets for this project.  To make the book pages pattern I drew some lines and then painted the sheet with coffee so that it looks like old book pages.  These pink flowers are handmade and added some pink ribbons to the drawers as bookmarks.

Altered Clipboard

Altered a boring clipboard and made it bright and colorful so that its fun to use.  This is a quick and easy project, did not want to decorate much so that it is easier to use, just added a flower and a ribbon loop for the pen

Enchanted Fairy Chandelier

This is a project inspired from fairy stories .. and it's a chandelier made out of paper, cardboard and thread .. 

 For the circle I cut a cardboard/paper plate from center, I then painted the ring thing in lime color and added some ribbon around it.  In the center I added a bow and a fairy that's actually a Christmas tree ornament.

Butterflies are cut from old book paper, flowers are handmade and I have added bling/sparkle on flowers.  In random order I threaded butterflies, flowers, leaves but pearl beads at last.  Then tied 12 such strings to the ring and the chandelier is complete.
